About The Artist....
Fabiola Gutierrez began her journey in the makeup and fashion world at age 13 when she developed her interest and passion for Beauty, Fashion and Make-Up. With emphasize in arts and the curiosity it sparked in her, she began experimenting with make-up and creating garments for dolls from old unworn clothes. She’d watch her mother’s transformations when going from bare natural skin to completely made up looks and the gleam of its possibilities inspired her to “play” those possibilities into a canvas.
In 2000, Fabiola attended Brooks College in which she developed her skills, attention to detail and sense for Fashion and graduated in December 2001 with honors as a Fashion Designer. Her main interest and focus, women’s fashion yet ended up as an intern at the LA Showroom for Dolce & Gabbana- Men’s Fashion. “The lovely men I had the opportunity to work with were exemplary; detailed with a great fashion sense. Even though my focus was woman’s fashion, having the opportunity to learn the other end was a great learning experience. It’s unfortunate that due to personal reasons I had to put my fashion career on hold and ended up working in finance and customer care for 10 years. But I’ve come along way since then because with every skill that I’ve learned I’ve been able to implement it in all that I do.” Throughout the years Fabiola would play with make-up on the canvas of many friends and family members; giving her, the opportunity to experience with different faces, features, color etc. She’s constantly donating time to do makeup for sponsorship and charity events. “I was once told that I was given the gift of giving and in doing so I would change the world. It might not be the universe or the world in general, but I have changed the world for every single individual I’ve been able to help and their joy is MY GIFT!!!” Fabiola became a self-taught Make-Up Artist and began doing makeup artistry as a profession in 2006; doing makeup for weddings, quinceañeras, private parties and special events. In 2009 she’s gained interests in other aspects of makeup artistry such as runway fashion, body painting and fx. To attain the knowledge she didn’t receive from hands on training and in an effort to build her professional portfolio, Fabiola has taken educational courses in Beauty Makeup & Sanitation at Wet Paint Makeup Studio, Bridal Makeup at MAC PRO- Los Angeles, Molding & Prosthetics, Hairstyling and Eye Brow Threading at DAS & is now teaching her knowledge to inspiring Make-Up Artists! Fabiola is now an accomplished and creative makeup artist in all aspects of media makeup, fashion, video and print. Her training, education and experience, along with her amiable personality provides her clients with a dependable, detail-oriented, and multi-faceted professional to add to the success of the creative team of any project regardless of the nature, scope or location. Fabiola’s diverse background and experience creates a unique style accredited only to her and her artistic talent. She has the innate ability to bring out the natural beauty of her subject regardless of gender, ethnicity or character portrayal. Fabiola displays her mastery for creating the right look by use of artistry techniques in the creation of beautiful skin tones, breath-taking shading or coordinating exquisite colors always with the needs, goals and objective of the project.
